What is a multi-SKU inventory discount?
A multi-SKU inventory discount allows you to add multiple SKUs of inventory to one single discount that you've created, which will apply that discount to all of the inventory selected. This eliminates the need to manually create one inventory discount per inventory SKU, saving your staff precious time, which is especially helpful when you plan on applying the same discount type to multiple SKUs!
What is a use case for creating a multi-SKU inventory discount?
A use case for creating a multi-SKU inventory discount would be if you were planning to offer a 10% discount on multiple inventory SKUs. An example of this would be that you are planning on offering 10% off of any Blackberry Kush gram, any Mango Kush gram, and any Sour Diesel eighths.
Rather than spending time creating individual inventory discounts for each one of these items, you can now create multi-SKU inventory discounts, applying the same discount to multiple SKUs of inventory.
The image below shows the discount that was created, as well as the SKUs this discount can apply to. Now, if a customer were to purchase a gram of Blackberry Kush gram, a gram of Mango Kush gram, or an eighth of Sour Diesel, they will receive 10% off of that product subtotal.
How do I create a multi-SKU Inventory Discount?
To create a discount for multiple SKUs of inventory, specific batch of inventory, start by selecting a unique name for the discount. Next, add a description (for internal use only) to make it easier for you staff to know exactly what the discount applies to. Finally, choose Inventory as the feature that the discount applies to.
Once Inventory is chosen, the discount creation form will expand to include all of the additional fields necessary for creating the discount. Here, you can select multiple products to make your discount eligible for by selecting the + Add Product button. From the pop up window, search for the Product that the inventory you'd like to discount is connected to.
Once you've selected a Product, you will see the SKUs, or batches, of inventory connected to this Product that you can apply a discount to. Here, you can select multiple SKUs of inventory that you would like the include in the discount you're creating.
After selecting the SKUs of inventory you would like to discount, move on to set the amount type (percentage or dollar amount off), minimum quantity (product minimum quantity required for this discount), maximum quantity (product maximum quantity allowed for this discount), minimum subtotal (order minimum required for this discount, the limit per customer (number of orders a customer can apply this to), the date range and days available, as well as whether not not the discount can be applied through an online order.
Once finished, simply select Save!
