How do I initiate a message with a customer from the phone icon?

To initiate a conversation from the phone icon, you simply need to have a customer created in MyBlackbird who has a valid phone number in the cell phone field of their profile.

Please Note: The customer's profile must include a cell phone number if the profile for this feature to work.

Send a Message

To start, click the Phone icon in the top left corner of your screen. This is accessible from any place within the platform, which makes it the easiest method for initiating a conversation with a customer.

Next, select the blue + button and then search for the customer you would like to message.

Here, you can search by either name or phone number to find the customer you would like to message.

Here, you will see the message window, which you can type your message directly into.

All responses, including those from the customer, the dispensary staff, and any automated text messages will be detailed here.

How do I initiate a message with a customer from the order screen?

To initiate a conversation from the orders screen, the customer will need to have an active order in the system. This is because the primary transaction that customers are involved in is ordering, so the feature is designed to provide you easy access to reach out to a customer from the order screen.

Send a Message

To start, open the order that the customer is attached to. Next, click the customer name to open up some basic functionality, including the ability to Send Message.

Once you have clicked Send Message, the Message Center modal will display on the left side of the screen.

Here, you will see the message window, which you can type your message directly into.
