If you are using the Self Delivery feature within the Blackbird platform, you may be interested in having an OnFleet integration set up, as well.

Blackbird’s integration to OnFleet allows clients to assign and manage delivery orders that come in through Blackbird in OnFleet. It’s quite simple: an order for delivery is placed on BlackbirdGo and the information for the delivery is pushed to OnFleet, where a task is created for the dispensary to dispatch out.

How do I have an OnFleet integration set up? 

To have an OnFleet integration set up, please reach out to our Client Services team at clientservices@myblackbird.com. Read below for more information regarding the requirements for setting up an OnFleet integration. 

What type of OnFleet account is required to set up an integration?

To have an integration set up, you just need an active account with OnFleet with a Basic, Premium or Professional Plan!

What OnFleet information is required to set up an integration? 

Blackbird requires your OnFleet API Key to set up the integration.

How quickly can the OnFleet integration be implemented? 

Once Blackbird has the required information, it will take roughly 24 hours to complete the integration.

How will the order from Blackbird display in OnFleet? 

When an order is placed on BlackbirdGo, a task will be created in OnFleet. See below:

What Blackbird information appears on an OnFleet task? 

  1. The customer name displays in the Recipient Field. 
  2. The customer cell phone number displays in the Recipient, Phone Number field.
  3. The customer address displays in the Destination Address field.
  4. The online order type (delivery) displays as the Drop Off designation near details. 
  5. The notes that a customer includes on BlackbirdGo when they submit their order will be passed to the Task Description field in OnFleet. 

What information does not appear on an OnFleet task? 

The order total and order products will not get passed to OnFleet. There is no field on the OnFleet tasks to pass this information to.

Do I need to do anything with the delivery order in MyBlackbird for the OnFleet integration?

No. The order that is submitted from BlackbirdGo will be pushed directly into OnFleet without you needing to take any additional actions in MyBlackbird. 

Supported OnFleet Integration Features

The OnFleet integration supports several features that are not required for account set up. These features are typically used for dispensary operational processes. If you are using any of the following OnFleet features, they can be implemented into the integration. 

Auto-Assign Team or Driver

This feature allows for deliveries created through the integration to be assigned automatically to a specified driver/dispatcher or a team

Please Note: Only one auto-assign feature can be used per integration.

Auto-Assign Mode

OnFleet supports the ability to auto-assign deliveries to drivers based on two criteria. 

Distance Based Mode in OnFleet auto-assigns a task to the driver whose last task was closest to the destination of the new task. 

Load Based Mode in OnFleet auto-assigns a task to the driver with the least amount of other non-completed tasks, or the driver with the lightest workload. 

Please Note: Only one auto-assign feature can be used per integration.

Third-Party Delivery

This feature allows clients who have an OnFleet account to push tasks to another third party OnFleet account for completion. 

Completion Requirements

OnFleet allows their clients to set requirements that must be met in order for task to be completed. These requirements allow for delivery record keeping; requiring drivers to obtain signature from recipients, add notes to the task, or upload images/photos. If you utilize completion requirements in OnFleet, please let us know so they can be incorporated in the integration.
