If you are using the Self Delivery feature within the Blackbird platform, you may be interested in having an OnFleet integration set up, as well.
Why Integrate Blackbird with OnFleet?
OnFleet is a common dispatching software that allows logistics companies to easily create, manage and track deliveries to their customers. Dispensaries doing self-delivery often utilize OnFleet to track retail deliveries to their customers. The OnFleet integration in Blackbird allows clients to assign and manage delivery orders that come in through BlackbirdGo automatically, without the need to manually create these deliveries in OnFleet as they are placed online. It’s quite simple: an order for delivery is placed on BlackbirdGo and the information for the delivery is pushed in to OnFleet, where a task is created for you to dispatch out.
An integration can provide valuable time saving work for those using an online menu through Blackbird with delivery functionality enabled. Below we will discuss the features that the integration can be used for in more detail.
You can set up an OnFleet integration to facilitate delivery management for use with an online menu. When a delivery order is placed on a BlackbirdGo menu, a delivery will also be created in your OnFleet account. In this way, you can ensure your delivery staff is notified in real time of new delivery orders, allowing them to plan and route efficiently.
Information is shared between OnFleet and Blackbird in two direction: Blackbird sends delivery information to OnFleet and checks for updates to the information that was shared. This integration is a little different than POS integrations in that there are no data syncs. Blackbird does not request and store information from OnFleet, but rather shares information to it directly and listens for updates to that information.
When information is updated in Onfleet, Blackbird will update select information in MyBlackbird as well. The workflow for the integration is simple: an order for delivery is placed on BlackbirdGo and the information for the delivery is pushed in to OnFleet through Neuromancer, where a task is created in OnFleet for you to dispatch out.
What Information is Passed to Onfleet?
Customer Name - This comes from the customer record attached to the order in Blackbird and will populate the Recipient Name field in the OnFleet Task
Customer Cell Phone Number - This comes from the customer record attached to the order in Blackbird and will populate the Recipient Phone Number Field in the OnFleet Task
Customer Address - This comes from the customer record attached to the order in Blackbird and will populate the Destination Address field in the OnFleet Task
Delivery - Blackbird will pass that the order is for delivery, this is listed as the Drop Off designation in OnFleet, instead of being for Pick-up
Notes - Any notes that a customer includes on BlackbirdGo when they submit their order will be passed to the task description field in OnFleet.
Please Note: When creating a delivery in OnFleet from Blackbird, OnFleet will verify the customer address and phone number are valid. If they are not valid, the delivery will fail to be created.
